SPELLER METCALFE RAISE OVER £1800 FOR MOVEMBER CHARITY
Thirty staff from Speller Metcalfe decided to down their razors and grow a range of moustaches as a way of fundraising for the global charity, with designer additions including Wolverine style side burns and a monkey tail. Not ones to be shown up, the girls also joined in with the fund-raising and support for the cause.
The charity aims to raise vital funds and awareness for men’s health – specifically prostate cancer and other cancers that affect men – and has grown in popularity as the Movember symbol of the ‘self-styled tache’ becomes a real-life, walking advertisement for the month of November.
Steve Speller, Chairman of Speller Metcalfe, said: “This has been a great way of raising awareness of not only a fantastic charity but men’s health in general, and we are delighted to put forward our contribution of over £1800 – a big thanks to everyone who supported us.
“However, while we’ve all enjoyed raising money for a very worthwhile cause, I know most of the guys can’t wait to get rid of the itchy lip! We now look forward to enjoying some mince pies as a reward now December is upon us.”
