No More Excuses is Speller Metcalfe’s Health and Safety standard and a tool to drive behavioural change, continually improve processes and promote innovation within health and safety.

Launched in June 2017, No More Excuses aims to set a precedent for encouraging site operatives to highlight unsafe working in a culture that often relies on site management to take the first action.

Our approach aims to create an environment in which speaking up becomes a positive action to prevent accidents and near misses, rather than having critical safety issues ignored or waiting for problems to be escalated to site management.
