Stratford School

Speller Metcalfe has successfully delivered the £15.7 million expansion of Stratford-upon-Avon School on behalf of Warwickshire County Council.

The project increased the school’s capacity by two forms of entry, providing an additional 60 pupils at Year 7 – equivalent to 300 new places – and enhanced facilities for students with special educational needs.

The scheme included:

• Extension of the existing building to create additional classroom space
• Expansion of the dining hall, kitchen, and servery
• New two-storey dance, drama, and music studio
• Refurbishment and remodelling of existing rooms to form further teaching spaces
• New recreational areas, including a MUGA pitch and external play area
• Upgraded external infrastructure, including access roads, parking, bus pick-up/drop-off points, and cycle spaces

The completed project provides modern, flexible learning environments that support the school’s growing student population and enhance the educational and recreational facilities available to staff and pupils.
