Royal Agricultural University invests in the refurbishment of its estate
The Royal Agricultural University have invested in the refurbishment of Frank Garner building and Experimental Building.
As part of the upgrade works Midlands-based contractor, Speller Metcalfe, has refurbished the existing buildings to transform teaching classrooms and gymnasiums into laboratories and working stations for students.
Professor Peter McCaffery, Vice-Chancellor of the Royal Agricultural University, said: “The new Land Laboratory Teaching Centre will be a tremendous boost to the quality of our students’ learning experience and our aspirations for research. We are delighted with this significant new asset at the heart of our campus community.”
The new centre has replaced the University’s outdated existing laboratories, and has created a learning environment which covers a broad range of skills and disciplines.
Mark Eaton, Divisional Director at Speller Metcalfe said, “We are delighted to have completed the refurbishment works on the laboratories at the Royal Agricultural University. We recognise how value these new facilities will be to students.”
AHR architects have designed the renovations and worked alongside the University to ensure the new facilities meet the needs of the teaching faculty and have longevity for years to come.
