As part of a residential development adjacent to the race course, Speller Metcalfe was contracted to build a three-storey accommodation block for jockeys, available to the general public as accommodation outside of race days.
The second structure was the new build single storey nursery unit of a timber frame, traditional structure. Both buildings incorporate large glazed panel feature sections.
Externally, a new horse walk replaced an existing walkway, leading a straight path down to the stables and race track. Speller Metcalfe worked closely alongside both the client and general public to accommodate race days through phased planning.
