HEREFORD WELCOMES REFURBISHED LEISURE POOL

“Halo’s latest project will take leisure provision in the county into the next decade” said Simon Gwynne, Centre Manager. “This much needed upgrade will encourage everyone in the community to get up and get moving: more people, more active, more often is what it’s all about.”

Now that the refurbishment and extension building works have completed, users have been treated to a new gym with over 80 exercise stations, two new fitness and dance studios and a new crèche, café and reception area.

The main swimming pool has also had an overhaul, including new doors and windows, refurbished changing facilities and additional spectator seating for the main pool.

Local building contractor Speller Metcalfe were responsible for the works, who have a great deal of experience in leisure facilities and are delighted at how well the new look leisure pool has been received.

Steve Speller, Managing Director at Speller Metcalfe said: “We have worked very hard to keep the pool open throughout the building works, and as such have had a lot of positive feedback from all types of people who have benefited from the refurbished facility. As a local Herefordshire resident, I myself am looking forward to a few laps in the pool!”
