COMPETITION WINNER MYLES THROUGH TO NEXT ROUND

A student at the college, Myles was given a drawing where he had to produce a cross-brace fit to scale, and was the only second year student to complete his piece in the timescale set.
The internal competition is used to assess students who can be put forward for the regional SkillBuild heats to represent the College, taking place at the end of April, 2012.
Scott White, tutor at the College, said: “Myles has done brilliantly to reach this level, and the only one in his class to have done so. He will now move onto the regional heats in Birmingham, and if he wins he will be representing Worcester College of Technology and Speller Metcalfe on a national level.
“We wish him the best of luck!”
