KINGSWINFORD OFFICE RELOCATES TO WOLVERHAMPTON
The team took up residence in Two Trinity Court at the start of this week – building on the success of the past year’s trading by the original Kingswinford office who work alongside the Company’s other established offices in Worcestershire, London and Gloucestershire.
The Kingswinford office was set up in September 2013 following a return to economic growth for the construction sector, starting out as a team of four with a turnover target of £2.5 million for the year 2013-14.
As of April 2014, the team had a secured workload of £15 million, and doubled in size: “What we had achieved six months is a testament to a fantastic team of people who are at the top of their game in terms of expertise, technical knowledge and experience,” explains Des O’Neill, Divisional Manager at Speller Metcalfe.
“A year down the line and we now employ 20 staff out of the new Wolverhampton office, have a secured workload of £17 million for the year 2014-15 with an additional £7 million already on the books for 2015/16, consisting of 10 live or completed projects around the West Midlands, Shropshire and Warwickshire.
Des continues: “We unfortunately outgrew our office needs in Kingswinford and as a local business we felt that a move to Wolverhampton Business Park will enable Speller Metcalfe to build on our reputation – both locally and nationally – with easy motorway access, state-of-the-art facilities and opportunities for growth both internally and through our supply chain.”
The Wolverhampton office is part of a 200 strong company of employees at Speller Metcalfe, which has been steadily increasing its presence and becoming one to watch in the region with a predicted turnover of over £120m this year alone.
The Company works across a range of private and public sectors and is currently delivering jobs from between £100,000 to £25m, which include work with the City of Birmingham Symphony Orchestra, Birmingham Metropolitan College, Colliers Motor Group, the West Midlands Contractor Framework and Birmingham YMCA.
