Speller Metcalfe is delivering the new Hereford Fire Station for Hereford & Worcester Fire and Rescue Service, forming part of a wider programme to improve fire and rescue provision for residents in Hereford and the surrounding areas.
The £13.6 million development will replace the former station with a modern, four‑storey facility featuring four appliance bays, high‑quality operational spaces and sustainable features including solar panels. External works include new landscaping and dedicated parking, with careful consideration given to the historic surroundings along St Owen Street.
Delivered under the PAGABO framework and designed by Bond Bryan Architects, the project is scheduled for completion in early 2027, with fire service operations maintained from a temporary station throughout construction.
