The new Constructing West Midlands (CWM) framework has officially named its contractor partners for the £2.1 billion of capital works across the West Midlands region.

Speller Metcalfe has been appointed to Lot 1, for works valued between £250,000 and £5 million, alongside GF Tomlinson, Interclass and Seddon. Lot 2, major capital works, includes the appointment of Galliford Try, ISG, Morgan Sindall and Willmott Dixon as contractor partners for works valued over £5 million.

A fully OJEU compliant framework, Constructing West Midlands is a collaboration between Solihull Metropolitan Borough Council, Sandwell Metropolitan Borough Council and Acivico Limited, a design, construction and facilities management specialist which is wholly owned by Birmingham City Council and which operates the framework.

Constructing West Midlands has a 16-year track record in the delivery of publicly funded projects and is a member of the National Association of Construction Frameworks (NACF).

Peter Yates, regional framework director for Constructing West Midlands, commented: “Our contractor partners are some of the very best in the market and collectively they have delivered more than £3.5 billion of framework projects in the last three years alone.

“As a framework, Constructing West Midlands also provides an unparalleled level of expertise.
