Speller Metcalfe named on ESFA’S latest £8bn schools framework
The new £8bn framework, which went live on 27th November 2017, doubles the forecast spend of the previous £4bn framework and is split into three value bands across 22 regional lots.
The framework will work to support the delivery of ESFA’s school building programmes as well as being a key procurement route available for schools and local authorities to use for their own projects.
Midlands-based Speller Metcalfe has been successful in securing places on the low value band in the South West for schemes up to £4.5m and the medium value band for London which will deliver projects up to £16m.
James Speller, Pre-Construction Director for Speller Metcalfe said: “We are delighted to have secured two lots on the new ESFA framework and are looking forward to working with education providers in the South West and London to deliver projects over the next four years.
Our appointment to the framework not only demonstrates confidence in the capacity and expertise of Speller Metcalfe but also highlights the extensive experience we have as a key contractor within the education sector.
Winning a place on the London lot – which represents a total investment of £410m – will also provide us with key opportunities to further develop our business activity and profile within the capital.”
