Waters Corporation reaches practical completion

Waters Corporation’s new facility at St Modwen’s Longbridge Business Park has reached practical completion.

Waters Corporation is a global leader in analytical instruments and software serving the life, materials and food sciences for more than 60 years. The multinational company which is based in the U.S. has more than 7,800 employees worldwide with more than 1,000 of these employed across England and Ireland.

The new industry-leading scientific precision engineering centre is located on the former West Works site and has been built by Midlands-based contractor Speller Metcalfe on behalf of St. Modwen Developments for Waters Corporation.

This new building will replace their existing premises in Solihull and increase space by 300% for the Waters Corporation providing 100 highly skilled jobs due to the expansion.

Located on land just off Bristol Road South, the Waters Corporation building further expands the Longbridge Business Park, which has already provided a boost to the local economy and created a significant number of jobs for local residents.

Water’s Corporation new facility serves to advance Longbridge Business Park’s status as a hub for development in the West Midlands.

Having the opportunity to work with St. Modwen to develop a specialist centre that meets our immediate business needs and affords the capacity for further expansion in the future gives our business the reassurance to make a significant investment here.”

The opening of the building is scheduled for 2024.
