SPELLER METCALFE RAISE £1400 FOR NATIONAL CHARITY

A competition to raise money for the charity was held between two Speller Metcalfe site teams, who are currently working on developments to both the sports and boarding facilities at Bromsgrove School.

The teams were set the challenge of growing a sunflower each, with the sports site team – headed up by Speller Metcalfe Project Managers Lee Holmes and Jim Read – taking the prize for the tallest flower produced.

Steve Speller, Joint Managing Director of Speller Metcalfe, said: “We always love to help both local and national charities, and the sunflower competition was a fantastic way of raising the profile of Help for Heroes locally.

“I would like to say a big thank-you to all of those involved, particularly the sponsors.”

Donations to the project have come from A.G. Shakespeare Electricians, TopDem Ltd, HRS Services and Attleys Roofing, among others. Electrical contractors Barrie Beard Ltd also sponsored the charity and won the sponsors raffle prize of £100 worth of Amazon vouchers.

Following all donations, Speller Metcalfe look forward to matching the sponsorship funds that have been raised.
