Speller Metcalfe wins place on £700m City of London Framework
Building contractor Speller Metcalfe has been named as a supplier on the City of London Corporation’s newly-launched General Major Works Construction Framework.
Running for four years, the framework will work to support the delivery of the City of London’s capital programme and strategy and will cover an estate of over 800 properties, both inside and outside of the square mile. Speller Metcalfe is one of six contractors to have been appointed to Lot 2 of the framework for projects valued between £4.6m- £15m.
Projects procured through the framework are expected to include construction and refurbishment works to various corporate and public buildings, the Bank of England estate, markets, schools, City of London police stations, investment properties and the Barbican Centre.
The win brings Speller Metcalfe’s number of framework appointments to 18, having also recently been named on Pagabo’s £1bn public works framework.
Pre-construction director James Speller, said: “We are delighted to have secured a place on the new City of London Construction Framework.
“This is a fantastic accomplishment for Speller Metcalfe, and this latest appointment – complementing our growing list of framework successes – recognises our extensive collaborative working experience and proven ability to deliver exceptional projects through framework agreements.
“We look forward to working with the City of London Corporation and to the exciting opportunities the framework will present.”
