SPELLER METCALFE WIN LOCAL RESTORATION PROJECT
Experienced construction specialists Speller Metcalfe have been delighted to be chosen as the contractors for this significant project, as appointed by Hereford County Council.
Bill Cave, Director of Small Works at Speller Metcalfe, said: “Speller Metcalfe is thrilled to have been chosen as the local contractor for a building so steeped in history. We bring a range of experience to this type of project, and look forward to ensuring all renovations are in keeping with the original building.”
The Grade II* listed Master’s House was originally built in the 15th century and remains one of Ledbury’s oldest buildings.
The restoration aims to strip the premises back to how they would have formerly looked, with reconstruction to the roof and exposure of the original beams part of the initial stages of redevelopment.
Speller Metcalfe will employ specialist trades to ensure high-quality renovation and attention to detail, and will aim to collaborate with local businesses when opportunities arise.
The two year project will be completed over multiple phases to ensure disruption to the town and surrounding area is kept to a minimum, with access to the on-site car park remaining open for staff and visitors over the duration.
