Following our appointment to the Department for Work and Pensions Estates Contractor framework in 2018, we have been successfully appointed to numerous competitively-tendered refurbishment projects to various buildings across DWP’s estate, primarily Jobcentre Plus sites and DWP offices, as well as an additional nationwide programme of small works across 40 DWP sites – the majority of which have involved an extensive series of decarbonisation and retrofit works.
This has entailed major M&E upgrades and replacement of the existing Building Management Systems to reduce carbon use and enable better monitoring of energy usage, as well as installing new boilers and air handling units as examples.
Project values range from £200K to £6.5m, and include:
- DWP Plymouth and Leicester: New boilers, heating and BMS works
- Holbourn House, Derby: Installation of new AHU
- Pedmore House, Dudley: Replacement of DX and VRF systems
- JobCentre Plus at West Bromwich, Erdington and Walsall: Boiler and flue replacements including installation of a new BMS
- JobCentre Plus Barking: Replacement chiller unit
