NEW REGIONAL MANAGER FOR WOLVERHAMPTON TEAM
The announcement follows the promotion of Des O'Neill to Managing Director in August who had previously managed the Wolverhampton team, creating the new position for the Regional Manager role with Des now overseeing the Malvern, London and Wolverhampton operations at the Company.
Rob joins Speller Metccalfe after 14 years with another Midlands contractor, spending the last seven years as a Divisional Director in Birmingham before progressing to Operations Manager for an international outfit working across competitively tendered schemes, frameworks for Birmingham City Council, Leicester County Council and regionally for the recent EFA Framework.
Working in sectors such as care, student accommodation, hotels and leisure, education and commercial, Rob has knowledge and experience of a variety of contracts and brings strong commercial knowledge of working with partnership and framework contracts, traditional and design & build.
“Rob is an advocate of working collaboratively and communicating openly on specific project issues,” said Des O’Neill, Managing Director at Speller Metcalfe. “He is skilled at motivating teams and individuals, demonstrating the type of leadership necessary over the course of a project or framework in which consistency of personnel and good team spirit are critical to ensure that we continue to meet and exceed expectations on delivery.”
Rob will be based in Wolverhampton and will be responsible for managing projects, developing our operating model and management of our regional senior management team as part of the Speller Metcalfe Wolverhampton arm.
