Warwick Hospital projects (2020)

Speller Metcalfe was contracted to deliver a number of  live schemes that are running concurrently at Warwick Hospital on behalf of repeat client South Warwickshire NHS Foundation Trust.

The scope of works, which ran as three separate projects, included refurbishment of the maternity department (£121k), which incorporated stripping out two existing labour rooms and refurbishing them to meet a more modern specification, including new M&E, flooring, walls and a full fit out.

Secondly, an existing linen storage area has been completed demolished before being rebuilt with a new roof and new entrance to the building and converted into two new endoscopy treatment rooms and additional stores (£863k).

Finally, a new fracture clinic was developed to meet the needs of local patients, which will include a full strip out of the existing waiting area back to brick before new M&E, flooring and walls are installed and the space converted to form new clinical rooms including plaster and x-ray.

This scheme follows on from the successful completion of the three-storey orthopaedic ward at Warwick Hospital in 2015.
