Speller Metcalfe has commenced construction on the new two-form entry Watling Meadows Primary School in North Nuneaton, appointed through the Constructing West Midlands Framework.
The development will deliver a much-needed facility, designed to meet the needs of the growing local community generated by the Callendar Farm housing development. It will provide up to 420 pupil places, including an Early Years provision and dedicated Special Educational Needs support for up to 14 pupils.
Externally, the site will feature sports pitches, hard play areas and landscaped grounds, creating a high-quality environment for both learning and physical activity.
Funded by Warwickshire County Council and delivered in partnership with Central England Academy Trust, the school is due to complete in early 2027, with classes opening gradually year-by-year.
