Speller Metcalfe was contracted by housing association LiveWest to provide 20 new homes, as part of a larger 58-home development on a greenfield site in the south Bristol village of Pucklechurch.
Cable Close and Oaktree Avenue comprises of eight 1 and 2-bedroom flats and twelve 2 and 3-bedroom houses, all available for affordable rent through LiveWest. The properties are built with a timber-framed construction and each has a rear garden and access to individual and shared parking spaces.
The scheme is adjacent to existing residences with a shared access route. As such, Speller Metcalfe initiated an effective traffic management plan to maintain the flow of traffic along the access route and prevent disruption to the daily lives of neighbouring residents.
“Speller Metcalfe was pivotal in promoting innovation to produced an ‘as built’ scheme of houses. Significant team inputs were made to achieve these changes to the betterment of the health and wellbeing of the end users without incurring additional costs”
Parry Morgan, Head of Construction & Development Delivery for LiveWest
