Stoke City Football Club Training Ground

Speller Metcalfe has completed the new £10m first‑team training facility at Stoke City Football Club’s Clayton Wood training ground — the first phase of a wider redevelopment.

The new two‑storey facility, now fully operational and in use by Stoke City FC’s men’s first team, brings together state-of-the-art sports science, medical and wellbeing spaces, including enhanced performance, recovery, rehabilitation, gymnasium, nutrition and sports science provision for the squad.

With a hydrotherapy suite, cryotherapy chamber, performance gym and upgraded medical and analysis areas, the new facility significantly raises the standard of training and player‑support infrastructure available at Clayton Wood.

Phase two of the Clayton Wood redevelopment will see the club’s former first‑team training facility refurbished for use by the Category One Academy and the women’s team.
