Oakley Court

Beautiful, Cotswold-inspired accommodation

Project

Oakley Court

Situated conveniently off the high street and less than 25 minutes from both Cirencester and Swindon, Oakley Court provides affordable housing for the community, replacing outdated accommodation that was considered no longer fit-for-purpose.

The new Cotswold-style development features 10 different properties to suit a variety of needs, and includes a one-bed detached house, 4, two-bed semi-detached bungalows, 3, three-bed terraced homes and 2, two-bed terraced houses.

Each property has been built using a ‘fabric-first’ approach, which incorporates an off-site timber frame design to maximise the energy efficiency of each home – over and above UK Building Regulations.

Other sustainability measures include ecological enhancements such as bird and bat boxes and the provision of a secure cycle shed for each property. The development has also been awarded a ‘Secured by Design’ silver award – an official police security initiative that works to improve the security of buildings and their immediate surroundings to provide safe places to live.

Designed sympathetically by Oakley Architects to blend with other neighbouring homes, the properties have all been built using re-constituted Cotswold stone, stone-effect roofing slates and cottage-style front doors.
