Speller Metcalfe has been contracted to transform the Butter Market Hall to bring back the Victorian character of the shop frontages, as well as improve the customer experience through provision of modern, flexible retail units.
We are also replacing 32 tables with light-weight alternatives and installing three food and beverage lock-up units in the Trestle Market Hall, with associated utilities and facilities.
Enhancements are also being made to customer safety, comfort and security with the installation of Wi-Fi, CCTV, insulation and heating.
The addition of a further entrance will also allow for independent operation of the two market halls, and allow evening and weekend events to be held independently
