Shrewsbury Police Station

The works to Shrewsbury police station were made up of two phases, carried out while the station stayed open and fully operational:

Phase 1: Provision of new modular cell blocks.

Two blocks housing six and 10 cells respectively with M&E installations and finishes completed extensively off site as pods, and then installed onto site by crane.

Phase 2: Complete refurbishment and alteration of existing custody suite.

Works comprised of asbestos removal, demolition / structural alterations and a state-of-the-art M&E installation interlinked to the new modular cell block. Extensive externals works were also undertaken including construction of a new rampway loading areas and the provision of a backup generator and fuel storage.
