Speller Metcalfe has completed the first phase of the transformation of Walsall Town Centre, with works finishing on the ground floor of the Saddlers Centre, known as Bradford Mall.
The shopping centre has been upgraded to let in more natural light, improve circulation with refurbished escalators and a new staircase, and enhance accessibility. The rear entrance by the Bradford Place bus station has also been refurbished.
Other improvements in this phase include new lighting, updated shop surrounds for existing stores, new toilet facilities, and general upgrade works throughout to create a more modern and welcoming environment.
The town centre developments form part of Walsall Borough’s £1.5 billion investment programme, aimed at creating opportunities for local residents, improving accessibility and transport links, and supporting the development of new homes in the town.
